South Carolina nuke declares emergency due to fire inside containment

Early yesterday evening, the Robinson nuclear power plant in South Carolina declared an emergency and issued a Notice of Unusual Event (NOUE) due to a fire in an electrical panel. The plant’s fire brigade responded, and the NOUE was ended after about half an hour. The plant’s single reactor was already shut down at the time of the incident.
