Event Report: Leaking coolant pump shuts down NY reactor

The Indian Point nuclear power plant reported to the NRC that plant operators manually scrammed the Unit 2 reactor early this morning after a reactor coolant pump began leaking. The reactor was at 100 per cent output prior to the shutdown.
