Virginia nuke rattled by two aftershocks, declares Unusual Event

The North Anna nuclear power plant, still shut down from Tuesday’s earthquake, was shaken by two aftershocks yesterday, according to an NRC Event Report. The plant declared an Unusual Event following the tremors, and said that the emergency declaration will continue until the threat of further aftershocks ends.

And Hurricane Irene is on the way….
